Quick summary: We use Cloudflare for security, CookieYes for consent, Google Analytics for site usage analytics, Pardot (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) for marketing automation on our go.pardot.com subdomain, and YouTube embeds. You can manage cookies anytime via “Cookie Settings” in our banner/footer and opt out of marketing using unsubscribe links in our emails.

1) Who we are

Edge Public (“Edge Public,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides purchasing and savings programs for foodservice operators and related stakeholders. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit the Site. This policy does not cover any customer portals, products, or services that link to a different notice or are governed by a contract—those have their own terms.

A) Information you provide directly

  • Contact details (name, email, phone, company, role) submitted via forms (e.g., “Contact Us,” event registrations, content downloads).

  • Preferences/communications (your marketing choices, requests you send us).

  • Support information (questions, feedback, or content of messages).

B) Information collected automatically

When you browse the Site, we and our vendors automatically collect:

  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, OS, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, date/time, and general location (derived from IP).

  • Cookie/ID data: unique IDs set via cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to remember settings, secure the Site, analyze usage, personalize content, or measure campaigns.

C) Information from other sources

Where allowed by law, we may receive business-contact information from marketing/advertising partners (e.g., when a campaign directs you to our forms) and social/video platforms when you view embedded content.

Below is a plain-English overview of the main tools we use (names are representative; exact names and durations may vary and can change over time).

A) Strictly Necessary (cannot be switched off)

  • Cloudflare security (__cf_bm, cf_clearance, and related): protects the Site from bots and malicious traffic and ensures legitimate access.

  • CookieYes (cookieyes-consent): remembers your consent preferences so they persist across visits.

  • WordPress runtime (e.g., wpEmojiSettingsSupports): ensures core features render properly.

B) Functional (enhance features)

  • YouTube Player (various yt-remote-* local storage keys and player settings): remembers player preferences and allows embedded videos to work properly on the Site.

C) Analytics / Performance

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _gid, _gat_*): helps us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We use aggregated reports and do not receive information that directly identifies you from GA.

D) Advertising / Marketing

  • Pardot (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) on go.pardot.com (visitor_id, visitor_id-hash): sets a unique ID for our marketing automation forms and pages to understand interest in our solutions and to deliver follow-up communications when you submit your information.

  • YouTube (YSC, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA): may measure interactions with embedded videos and can support YouTube’s service operations and recommendations.When you play an embedded video, YouTube may collect data in line with its own privacy policy.

5) When we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers/Processors who operate our website, analytics, security, and marketing platforms under contract (e.g., Cloudflare, Google, Salesforce).

  • Professional advisors (legal, compliance) and authorities where required by law.

  • Affiliates and brands within our corporate family for activities consistent with this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We may “share” limited information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined in some U.S. state laws (for example, via analytics/ads platforms). You can opt out of such sharing via Cookie Settings and the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link (see Section 10).

6) Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here—typically:

  • Form submissions/marketing records: until you unsubscribe or request deletion, plus a reasonable period for compliance/audit.

  • Analytics and security logs: short, rolling periods (subject to vendor defaults and legal requirements).

California (CPRA) notice at collection

We collect the following categories for the business purposes listed in Sections 3–5: identifiers (e.g., name, email, IP), internet/usage activity, commercial interest data (your interactions with our pages), and professional information (company, role) if you provide it. We share (as defined by CPRA) identifiers and internet/usage data with analytics/ads partners for cross-context advertising unless you opt out via Cookie Settings or the Do Not Sell/Share link.

EEA/UK legal bases

Where GDPR applies, our processing is based on:

  • Legitimate interests (run, secure, and improve the Site; basic analytics).

  • Consent (non-essential cookies/marketing).

  • Legal obligation (recordkeeping, compliance).
    We may transfer data outside the EEA/UK using appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs).

10) Do Not Sell/Share & tracking signals

If you are in a U.S. state with an opt-out right for targeted advertising or “sharing,” use Cookie Settings (and, where available on the Site, our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link) to opt out. We also make good-faith efforts to honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for browser-based opt-outs for cookies under applicable state laws.

11) Children’s privacy

Our Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

12) Third-party links & embedded content

Our Site may include links to third-party sites and embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos). Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies and may collect data when you interact with their content.
